I have successfully moved down to Provo, UT to get closer to work. I now have a 10-15 minute drive rather than 45- 60 minutes. (:
I also learned that I’ve been awarded the Marty Sedgwick Memorial Scholarship for this upcoming semester! (: Life is awesome, gotta admit.

Well, nationals is over and the results are in! Out of the entire nation, I placed 6th!! The competition was strong, and the challenges weren’t what I was expecting, but I walked away with a lot of new information and I learned a ton. I’m looking forward to competing next year when I’ll be up against post secondary competitors. ^.^
First day in to Nationals in Kansas City today. Didn’t sleep at all last night, and our flight left pretty early (5am) this morning. I have discovered that it is virtually impossible to find a cinnibon anywhere close to anything anymore. In Denver, during our layover, I ended up settling on some beef jerky. Once in KC we all bounced out to the local mall where my body decided it wanted the sleep it never got.
upon walking on the sidewalk outside of the mall, I realized this state has a much higher African American to Caucasian ratio.
Anyway, we have knowledge test tomorrow morning, and orientation after that so I’m going to head off to sleep.
